High pressure builds to the south of the region today and drifts off the North Carolina coast tonight. A warm front moves through the region tonight into Wednesday morning as low pressure tracks across southeastern Canada. A cold front moves into the region late Wednesday and moves across the area Wednesday night into Thursday morning bringing wetting rains to the area. Northwest winds less than 10 MPH this morning become southwest 10 to 15 MPH this afternoon. The lowest relative humidity will be 25 to 30 percent. Wednesday winds will be southwest 10 to 15 MPH with gusts around 20 MPH, and the lowest relative humidity will range from 45 to 55 percent.
