...PATCHY DENSE FOG BEFORE 8 AM...

Fog has developed along portions of the south fork of Long Island.
There are patches of locally dense fog where visibilities are
significantly reduced, down to a quarter mile or less.

Motorists should be prepared for quickly changing visibilities.
Slow down, allow for extra space between vehicles and use your
low beam headlights in the fog.
