Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
230 PM PDT Fri Jun 21 2024

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES OR641 AND WA691 FOR WIND AND
LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY ...

.DISCUSSION...Warming conditions will continue through Saturday,
with a brief cooldown Sunday and Monday. An upper low and dry cold
front passage will produce breezy winds through the Cascade gaps
Saturday night, then across the rest of the lower elevations
Sunday. While RHs will remain above critical thresholds, fire
weather concerns will be elevated in the Cascade gap regions late
Saturday and Sunday. However, Fire Weather Watches have been
issued for the Lower Columbia Basin zones as breezy winds of
15-25mph will coincide with RHs as low as 13 percent Sunday
afternoon. Very little rain is expected with the next system.
