A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the area until 8 PM MST this evening due to the windy conditions, very dry fuels, and relative humidities in the upper single digits. Winds will generally favor southwest through the day today, with sustained speeds between 12 to 20 mph and gusts between 25 to 30 mph into the evening and gradually calming after approximately 2100 MST. Overnight, winds will be lighter and eventually shift north northeast (down-valley). The MinRH this afternoon will be in the upper single digits between 6-10% coinciding with a near normal high temperature in the low 100s, and overnight recoveries will be poor to fair at around 30%. ...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
