Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
239 PM MDT Tue Sep 24 2024

.Discussion...

Critical fire weather conditions are not expected for the next 7
days, as a ridge of high pressure sets up over the Rockies.
Temperatures well above seasonal averages and dry conditions will
remain in place through the end of the week and into the
weekend, although winds will remain generally light, limiting
potential fire weather concerns.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will stay poor to fair on Wednesday
as transport winds stay weak, then values improve slightly
Thursday into the fair to good range as mixing heights rise.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
