Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
217 PM MDT Sat Jun 15 2024

...Red Flag Warning has been issued for portions of the area from
Noon through 8 PM MDT Sunday...

...Fire Weather Watch in effect for portions of the area Monday
afternoon...

.Discussion...

The warmer and drier conditions in place this afternoon will
continue into early next week, with only isolated showers and
storms anticipated during this time. Conditions dry further Sunday
and Monday, as gusty southwest winds settle in across the region.
This will produce critical fire weather conditions across
portions of southern Colorado each day, where fuels are critical.
Will see temperatures cool and RH values increase slightly by
Tuesday, but with another day of critical fire weather conditions
possible across the area. Chances of showers and thunderstorms,
along with a wetting rain, will increase from Wednesday through
Thursday.

Smoke dispersion is expected to be excellent across the area
Sunday and Monday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
