Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
245 PM MDT Wed Jun 26 2024

.Discussion...

No critical fire weather conditions are anticipated for the next
week, although it will be warming up and drying out more by the mid
part of next week, which may expedite the drying out of fuels.

There will be increasing moisture over southern Colorado, which will
enhance the chance of showers and thunderstorms for the district
through the weekend, mainly during the afternoon and evening hours.
Temperatures will cool slightly, especially by Saturday as a weak
cold front moves through by later in the evening on Friday. In
addition, this will allow for a better chance of wetting rains,
which may increase the threat of flash flooding for burn scars and
surrounding areas.

Smoke dispersions currently at Very Good to Excellent will diminish
to Poor by later this evening, then improve to Fair to Good for
most most of the district by afternoon on Thursday, with Very Good
to excellent across the far eastern plains.
