...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM MDT THIS
EVENING...
...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH
MONDAY EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...

A period of above normal temperatures and dry conditions is
expected across the area today through Tuesday, with little to no
precipitation chances likely through this time frame. Lighter
winds early this morning will increase out of the southwest by
around midday, with gusts up to 30 to 40 mph. Above normal
temperatures and lowest RH values around 12 percent will support
critical fire weather conditions this afternoon into early
evening. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for the area today. Poor
humidity recovery is anticipated tonight over most of the area,
especially over the mountains. Similar warm and dry conditions
are likely on Monday.

For Tuesday through Thursday, it will not be as hot and winds are
expected to shift into an upslope pattern over the plains. there
will also be a better chance of some scattered wetting storms over
the plains from Tuesday through Thursday. The interior mountains,
however, will remain windy and dry and critical fire weather
conditions will be possible.
