WXL-58, located in Chapel Hill and serving the northeast Piedmont
on 162.550 MHZ remains off the air at this time.

During this period, the transmitter will remain out of service
for an unknown amount of time. Troubleshooting efforts have been
underway since yesterday to identify a root cause and solution.

During this time, the transmitter cannot be restored within an
hour.
