...A BAND OF HEAVY RAIN PRODUCING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL
IMPACT SOUTHERN PERSON...NORTHERN ORANGE...SOUTHERN
GRANVILLE...NORTHEASTERN WAKE...NORTHERN DURHAM AND NORTHWESTERN
FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 501 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a band of heavy rain
producing showers and thunderstorms across the central Piedmont,
moving northwest at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 30 mph and heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Durham, Roxboro, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Wake Forest, Butner,
Franklinton, Rougemont, Rolesville, and Youngsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
