.DISCUSSION...

...Yellowstone NP and Teton dispatch areas (includes fire weather
zones 140...414...415...and 416)...

Isolated chance for thunderstorms this afternoon (<15%) with most
activity to the east. Breezy west to southwest winds 10-20 mph
diminishing to less than 10 mph after sunset. Minimum relative
humidity values in the 20-30 percent range this afternoon before
recovering overnight. Warming trend and mainly dry for the weekend
with elevated fire weather concerns much of the next week.

...Cody dispatch area (includes fire weather zones 275...276...
282...283...285...286...287...288...and 289)...

Increasing thunderstorm chances this afternoon through the early
evening before diminishing towards sunset. Damaging winds over 60
mph the main concern with these storms that do develop. Otherwise,
breezy west to southwest winds 15-25 mph outside of storm outflows
with minimum relative humidity values down into the 15-25 percent
range. Warming trend and mainly dry conditions this weekend and
into next week will bring elevated fire weather concerns going
forward.

...Casper dispatch area (includes fire weather zones 277...278...
279...280...281...285...289...and 300)...

Increasing thunderstorm chances ongoing this afternoon through
the early evening before diminishing towards sunset. Larger hail
over a quarter inch possible with these early afternoon storms in
Sweetwater County. Damaging winds over 60 mph the main concern
with these storms that do develop later this afternoon pushing
east and northeastward. Flash flooding a possibility east of the
Bighorns late afternoon and early evening with slower, entraining
storms. Otherwise, breezy west to southwest winds 15-25 mph
outside of storm outflows with minimum relative humidity values
down into the 15-25 percent range. Warming trend and mainly dry
conditions this weekend and into next week will bring elevated
fire weather concerns going forward.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds...
...Haines Index is high level Haines both day and night...
