...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN KANAWHA...SOUTH
CENTRAL ROANE AND WEST CENTRAL CLAY COUNTIES THROUGH 845 PM EDT...

At 820 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Elkview, or 14 miles northeast of Charleston, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Clendenin, Elkview, Amma, Procious, and Left Hand.

This includes Interstate 79 between mile markers 11 and 31.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central and north central West Virginia.
