This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited lightning risk.
  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

Rain chances from the remnants of Hurricane Helene increase
tonight into Friday. A few non-severe thunderstorms may occur
across Oregon county with lightning the primary hazard.

Wind gusts will increase overnight with gusts up to 30mph by
sunrise across south central Missouri.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Rain will linger through Friday into Saturday. There is a slight
risk for flash flooding on Friday for locations east of a West
Plains to Salem line.

Wind gusts will increase further Friday morning with gusts up to
40mph for locations east of Highway 65, especially near the West
Plains region.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
