...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT BOURBON...CHEROKEE...CRAWFORD...
NORTHWESTERN BARTON AND WESTERN VERNON COUNTIES THROUGH 715 PM CDT...

At 701 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Pleasanton to near
Mound Valley. Movement was southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pittsburg, Prairie State Park, Nevada, Fort Scott, Frontenac,
Columbus, Girard, Arma, Marmaton, Liberal, Cherokee, Weir, Sherman,
Mulberry, Scammon, Chicopee, Mccune, Mindenmines, Franklin, and
Bronson.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 92 and 106.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
southeastern Kansas...and southwestern and west central Missouri.
