...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM AST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.Excessive runoff from previous heavy rains will
  continue to affect rivers and streams especially along the
  Culebrinas river and its tributaries.

* WHERE...A portion of Puerto Rico, including the following
  counties, Las Marias, Moca and San Sebastian.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM AST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. River or
  stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 548 PM AST, Doppler radar most of the heavy rains have
    ended but excessive runoff for the previous heavy rains will
    continue to affect rivers and streams.  This will cause urban
    and small stream flooding as well as accumulations of water
    on roads. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    San Sebastian, Moca, Hato Arriba, Aceitunas and Juncal.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
