If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION... Lingering moisture across southern Utah will continue to fuel isolated to widely scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. There is about a 50% chance of a storm moving over the spot location this afternoon through early evening. As of writing this forecast, a small storm is moving just east of Willis Creek drifting southeastward toward Cottonwood Wash and will move near the spot location within the next 30 minutes to 1 hour. After that immediate potential the chance precipitation at the spot location is closer to 20-30% into this evening. Any storms could produce locally heavy rainfall capable of flash flooding (about a 10-20% chance from the approaching storm). On Tuesday, moisture will remain in place and additional isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will redevelop, again with heavy rain possible. Otherwise, expect hot temperatures in the mid 90s with a southwesterly breeze each afternoon. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........A 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.
