.SYNOPSIS...
Seasonable, dry, and periodically breezy weather persists through
the remainder of the week and into the weekend. Hot and very dry
weather returns next week with likely elevated heat risk and fire
weather concerns.

.Discussion...
Weak trough forecast to linger across the region through the
weekend. Temperatures will remain close to average today before a
modest warmup develops over the weekend with warmest valley
temperatures returning to near the century mark. A shallow marine
layer (around 1k ft) and Delta Breeze will help to moderate temps
a bit around the Sacramento area into the Delta.

.EXTENDED DISCUSSION (Monday THROUGH Thursday)...
EPAC High builds inland over interior NorCal early next week
resulting in another round of widespread triple digit heat in the
Central Valley. By midweek, 850mb temps are progged from the upper
20s to lower 30s Deg C. NBM forecast high temperatures in the
Central Valley range from 102 to 110 Wed/Thu, with upper 80s to
around 102 in the mountains and foothills. Areas of gusty
northerly wind possible in the Central Valley Monday into
Wednesday which could result in periods of critical fire weather
conditions.
