Southwesterly flow, just like previous mornings, is leading to
scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms moving on shore
generally from Tampa Bay northward. The morning sounding shows
moisture has increased across the region with PWs of 2.17 inch. Best
chances for rain this morning will continue across northern
counties. But this afternoon, as the sea breeze moves inland, rain
and storm chances will expand in coverage away from the coast.
Afternoon highs the next few days will top out in the lower to mid
90s, but heat index values will reach into the 100-105 range. Be
sure to stay hydrated and take proper precautions if you`re out in
the sun this weekend.

Light southwesterly flow for the area through tonight. Winds will
increase slightly this afternoon, remaining below 10 knots. Coastal
shower and storm activity this morning will move inland later this
morning and afternoon. VFR conditions are expected with MVFR to IFR
conditions possible in storms with decreased visibility and lower
cigs. Light and variable winds overnight, turning southeast Saturday
morning.
