A quiet night is on tap for eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas
Tonight as weak high pressure prevails. Patchy fog is forecast
across southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas again tonight.
However, it is not expected to be as widespread as the fog that
occurred this morning.

The upper level low currently centered near Murphysboro, IL will
drift to the south over the next day or so before joining forces
with Helene late week and taking off to the northeast over the
weekend. Most of the heavy rainfall associated with these features
is expected to remain east of the area. However, low rain chances
are forecast for Friday across far eastern Oklahoma and western
Arkansas before the storm system moves away from the area. Locally
heavy rain will be possible across far northwest Arkansas.

The next cold front is slate to move through the region dry
Monday night/Tuesday. Temperatures are forecast to remain near
normal for this time of year through the period.

VFR conditions are expected to prevail for most sites through the
period. There is a low chance of fog development again tonight,
primarily across NW AR sites, however it is not expected to become
as dense or widespread as last night. Maintained TEMPO group for
FYV but did not introduce similar lines for XNA/ROG/FSM due to
low confidence at this time. Otherwise, generally light north/
northwest winds are expected through the period with some
afternoon cu tomorrow.
