At 1142 PM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly southwest of
a Tulsa to Fort Smith line and also in northwest Arkansas.
Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in Haskell and
Latimer counties in Oklahoma and Franklin county in Arkansas. The
precipitation was in the Fort Smith area. Movement was to the
southeast at around 30 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of
three quarters to around an inch. Intensity decreased during the
last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for overnight, mostly cloudy then
clearing, showers and thunderstorms likely with temperatures 60 to
65 degrees and south winds up to 5 mph.
