At 928 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly southwest of
a Tulsa to Fort Smith line and also in Arkansas west of I49. They
were most widespread and heaviest in Okmulgee, Mcintosh and Okfuskee
counties in Oklahoma and was more widespread in southcentral
Oklahoma. The precipitation was in the Fort Smith area. Movement was
to the east at around 15 mph. The average amount where it rained
last hour was one tenth to one quarter of an inch with maximum
amounts of three quarters to around an inch. Coverage and intensity
remained about the same as last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for
late this evening and into overnight, cloudy, showers likely and a
chance of thunderstorms with temperatures 64 to 74 degrees and north
winds up to 10 mph.
