549 FNAK52 PAFG 222306 FWFWCZ Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western Alaska National Weather Service Fairbanks AK 306 PM AKDT Sat Jun 22 2024 .DISCUSSION... We will see a continual warming trend with inland areas reaching to the mid to upper 70s by Monday. With coastal areas rising into the mid to upper 60s. Minimum RH values will look to remain above 30% with recovery overnight in the 80s and 90s. Coastal areas could see winds as high as 20 mph with the inland areas seeing 10 to 15 mph. Today we have already seen a lot of thunderstorm activity from McGrath to Ambler. These thunderstorms appear to be dropping 0.1" or more of rain. We expect the storms to persist through this evening. Tomorrow we could see scattered thunderstorms around McGrath as well as Hughes/Huslia.
