The areas affected include... Narragansett Bay... At 346 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Cranston to Popasquash Point, moving northeast at 10 knots. Locations impacted include... Melville, Greenwich Bay, Popasquash Point, Warwick Light, Bristol Harbor, Mount Hope Bay, and Conimicut Light. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Expect gusty winds to around 30 knots...briefly rough seas and lightning strikes. Consider heading for safe harbor until these storms pass. Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms.
