* Temperatures will remain 10-15 degrees above average across the region today. Afternoon breezes will return today, with ridges seeing 40+ mph gusts and leeside valleys checking in with 20-30 mph gusts. Monday will be a rinse and repeat weather day, with temperatures cooling only by a degree or two. * Tuesday we will see the influence of the remnant tropical moisture currently situated near Baja California making it`s way to southern Nevada. Forecast soundings are showing PWAT values around 0.9 inches, which may result in a cloudy and overcast sky with a few showers embedded. Another possibility with lower confidence would be the case where we see enough breaks in the clouds to increase instability and produce storms. Chances are 10-20% from US-50 to the south, into Mono, Mineral, Lyon and maybe even Alpine counties. Rain amounts should remain light, around 0.1 inches at most. Once this low pressure system is swept into the westerlies, it will move out over the Great Basin for Wednesday. There is a 15-20% chance for a light shower near the White Mountains for Wednesday, with potential for some embedded thunder. From Thursday on, expect widespread dry, warm and breezy conditions. * As mentioned above, temperatures will cool only slightly late this week, with daytime highs still above average. The following weekend will bring back high temperatures ranging 10-15 degrees above average. Long range outlooks suggest the warm dry trend will be with us into the first week of July. HRICH

&& .FIRE WEATHER...
-- Changed Discussion --
Dry and hot weather with afternoon breezes this weekend continues to lead to an elevated fire weather risk across the region. Today a period of afternoon gusty winds and hot and dry conditions will be present for a 4 to 6 hours for far N. Washoe, Surprise Valley and E. Lassen bringing near critical conditions. Conditions improve on Monday and Tuesday as winds decrease. Wednesday and Thursday appear to be the days of major concern when near critical conditions are likely due to stronger westerly winds. This comes after a prolonged period of well above normal temperatures. Dry conditions will continue with min RH generally below 20% in CA, and below 15% in NV, along with breezy afternoon winds. Conditions should improve towards the weekend with lighter winds expected areawide. HRICH/Crespo
