421 WWUS20 KWNS 202155 SEL0 SPC WW 202155 NEZ000-SDZ000-210500- URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 440 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 455 PM CDT Thu Jun 20 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northern Nebraska Extreme southern South Dakota * Effective this Thursday afternoon from 455 PM until Midnight CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3.5 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...An isolated supercell should persist along a warm front over the northern Sandhills, offering all severe hazards, including a localized tornado threat. In the broader picture, a clustering of severe thunderstorms in the Nebraska Panhandle should move into and across the watch later this evening, posing mainly a hail and severe-wind threat. Isolate severe hail also is possible with later development north of the front. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles north and south of a line from 50 miles west of Mullen NE to 15 miles east northeast of Oneill NE.
