...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MCKINLEY COUNTY
THROUGH 1230 PM MDT...

At 1203 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Fort Defiance, or 23 miles northwest of Gallup, moving east at 40
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Nakaibito, Yah-Ta-Hey, Rock Springs, Tse Bonito, Navajo, Brimhall
Nizhoni, Tohatchi, Fort Defiance, Window Rock Airport, and Window
Rock.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Frequent dangerous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this
storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
