...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN TORRANCE COUNTY
THROUGH 615 PM MDT...

At 544 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 16
miles north of Encino, or 20 miles northwest of Vaughn. This storm
was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Torrance County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
central, northeastern and east central New Mexico.
