...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN CATRON COUNTY
THROUGH 230 PM MDT...

At 202 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles southwest of San Francisco Plaza, or 12 miles southwest of
Reserve, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
San Francisco Plaza.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Frequent dangerous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this
storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a
safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.
