...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL CHAVES COUNTY THROUGH
615 PM MDT...

At 538 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Dexter, or 14 miles southeast of Roswell, moving west at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Southern Roswell, Dexter, Hagerman, Greenfield, Roswell Correctional
Facility, and Midway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
