...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL CHAVES COUNTY THROUGH
545 PM MDT...

At 509 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Bottomless Lakes State Park, or 12 miles east of Roswell, moving
southwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible. Blowing dust is possible from this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Roswell, Dexter, Hagerman, Bitter Lake Wildlife Refuge, Bottomless
Lakes State Park, Greenfield, and Midway.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.
