...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CIBOLA COUNTY
THROUGH 515 PM MDT...

At 433 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
McCartys, or 8 miles east of Grants, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Laguna Pueblo, Cubero, Cebolletita, Mesita, McCartys, Skyline-Ganipa,
New Laguna, San Fidel, Seama, and Acomita.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on highways as storms move through the area.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM MDT for
west central New Mexico.
