...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTH CENTRAL MCKINLEY AND SOUTH
CENTRAL SAN JUAN COUNTIES THROUGH 200 PM MDT...

At 136 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
between Pinedale, Standing Rock and Lake Valley moving east at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Crownpoint, Thoreau, Standing Rock, Chaco Canyon, Pinedale, and
Mariano Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Frequent dangerous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these
storm.s Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek
a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
