.DISCUSSION...A tight gradient and weak shortwave aloft will keep west winds
up over ridgetops late into tonight and widely scattered thunderstorms in the area.
Still expecting convection to move over the area later this evening. Saturday
and Sunday will bring much quieter conditions as the gradient eases up as the
thermal trough at the surface moves southeast of the fire. Expect just isolated
thunderstorms Saturday and no thunderstorms on Sunday as the ridge aloft establishes
itself a bit stronger, bringing warmer and drier conditions.
