...DENSE SMOKE ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM AKDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Visibility less than one mile in dense smoke.

* WHERE...Tanana Flats and Eielson AFB and Salcha. Richardson
  Highway between Salcha and Birch Lake.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons with respiratory illnesses should remain indoors to avoid
inhaling smoke. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and
leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

* WHAT...Visibility one mile or less in dense smoke.

* WHERE...Fairbanks Metro Area.

* WHEN...Until noon AKDT today.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Smoke will lift and conditions will improve
  late this morning, however dense smoke will likely return late
  this evening. Smoke will be dense at times throughout the early
  to middle part of this week.
