Chesapeake Bay from Little Creek VA to Cape Henry VA including the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel... Chesapeake Bay from New Point Comfort to Little Creek VA... Coastal Waters from Cape Charles Light to Virginia-North Carolina border out to 20 nm... Currituck Sound... James River from James River Bridge to Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel... At 1220 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 4th Island Bay Bridge to near Sewells Point to 12 nm southwest of Monitor Merrimack Bridge Tunnel, moving east at 20 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes.
