...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MECKLENBURG AND
WESTERN LUNENBURG COUNTIES THROUGH 930 PM EDT...

At 847 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Wylliesburg, or near Clover, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, half inch hail, heavy rain, and
         frequent lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small trees and blow around
         unsecured objects. Wind impacting handling of high profile
         vehicles. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
         Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible. Frequent
         cloud to ground lightning strikes.

Locations impacted include...
Chase City, Lunenburg, Rehoboth, Kells Corner, Wilburn, Spanish
Grove, Loves Mill, Arvins Store, Nutbush, Finneywood, Fairview,
Plantersville, Blevins Corner, Pleasant Grove, Fort Mitchell, and
Wightman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
