...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL LITCHFIELD COUNTY
THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 450 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Litchfield, or near Torrington, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Torrington, Litchfield, Northwest Harwinton, Harwinton, Bantam, West
Torrington, Torringford, Grappaville, Haight Vineyard, Litchfield
Green, Nepaug, East Litchfield, Browns Corner, Bakersville, Newberry
Corner, Maple Hollow, and Milton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
northern Connecticut.
