Hot temperature and heat index values may reach up to 109 degrees today for the Palo Duro Canyon State Park area. A Heat Advisory has been issued for the zone and will last until 7 PM. Thunderstorms return tonight with best chances for impacts mainly across the northern Panhandles. Some storms could become severe with damaging winds and torrential rainfall as the primary threats. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Thunderstorms will be possible across parts of the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles Sunday. None are expected to be severe at this time. Additional thunderstorms may develop across the area Wednesday through Friday. Storms that form during this time period are expected to remain below severe limits. Otherwise, heat related products may return by Tuesday. Widespread triple digit temperatures are expected. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time. $$
