...Observed flooding changed to Minor severity for the following
rivers in Wisconsin...Minnesota...

  Mississippi River at Wabasha affecting Wabasha and Buffalo
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Wabasha.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, The river affects low lying areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM CDT Friday the stage was 12.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:15 AM CDT Friday was 12.1 feet.
  - Forecast...Moderate flooding is forecast. The river will
    continue to slowly rise and rise above 14 feet Tuesday.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    12.2 feet on 03/24/1966.
