...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN SCHUYLER...
CHEMUNG...WEST CENTRAL TIOGA...SOUTHEASTERN STEUBEN...SOUTHWESTERN
TOMPKINS AND NORTHWESTERN BRADFORD COUNTIES THROUGH 445 PM EDT...

At 411 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Newfield to near Lawrenceville. Movement was
southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Chemung, Elmira, Southport, Big Flats, Horseheads, Newfield, Elmira
Heights, Caton, Ridgebury, and Lindley.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 86/Route 17 between 47 and 59.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
