A warming trend will begin today as winds become southerly in
advance of low pressure developing in Montana and Wyoming. These
winds could be breezy to windy across the Dakotas today. A chance
of showers and thunderstorms will return to western parts of the
region late this evening, and spread eastward across the Northern
Plains tonight and Monday. Some storms could be severe. Highs will
mainly be in the 70s and 80s today.

Temperatures remain near to slightly below normal through much of
the week. Near daily chances for showers and thunderstorms will
also be found, including on Independence Day. A few strong to
severe storms are possible Monday through Monday night.
