.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Friday...
Elevated moisture remains in the region Friday with scattered
showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon to early evening.
Relative humidity values remain above 30 percent. Winds will
remain on the lighter side in most areas except the far east
plains with gusts 20-30 mph. Fair to good smoke dispersal.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Friday night through Tuesday...Scattered
showers and thunderstorms with wetting rains will gradually
diminish Friday night.
For Saturday through Tuesday, the airmass will dry and warm, with
much above normal temperatures expected. Humidity values are also
expected to decrease with minimums dropping into the teens Sunday
and Monday in the lower elevations, and upper teens to mid 20s in
most of the foothills and high mountain valleys. Overall, winds
should conform to fairly normal diurnal wind patterns, with only
slightly enhanced westerly breezes in the mountains and high
valleys each afternoon. Critical fire weather conditions are not
expected through this period.
