Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast

Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the
Rio Grande out 60 NM.

Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average
highest 10 percent of the waves.

.SYNOPSIS...Strong to fresh east to southeast flow continues
through Friday morning in wake of Tropical Storm Alberto. A
moderate onshore flow persist through the weekend with seas slow
to subside. Small Craft Advisories are likely to persist over the
Gulf waters until the seas lower which may not be until late
Saturday. Mariners will need to monitor the weather forecast for
the possibility of another tropical low pressure system that is
expected to develop and move into the southern Gulf of Mexico as
early as Saturday night. National Hurricane Center has a 20
percent chance of Tropical Cyclone formation in the next 2 days
and 50 percent in 7 days.
