655 FZUS54 KBRO 210346 CWFBRO Coastal Waters Forecast for the Lower Texas Coast National Weather Service Brownsville TX 1046 PM CDT Thu Jun 20 2024 Lower Texas coastal waters from Baffin Bay to the mouth of the Rio Grande out 60 NM. Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest 10 percent of the waves. GMZ100-211615- 1046 PM CDT Thu Jun 20 2024 .SYNOPSIS...The difference between high pressure across the southeast U.S. and the general low pressure in the southwest Gulf following Tropical Storm Alberto will maintain gusty east winds and dangerous seas through Friday morning. A moderate easterly flow will continue through the weekend as another area of low pressure develops in the southwest Gulf while high pressure continues across the southeast U.S. Small Craft Advisories are likely to persist over the Gulf waters until the seas lower which may not be until late Saturday. Mariners will need to monitor the weather forecast for the possibility of another tropical low pressure system to form out of the southwest Gulf low.
