.SYNOPSIS...Fresh northeast to east winds and elevated wave
heights in the short term will transition over the weekend to
more favorable wind and sea conditions next week. The weather
will remain unsettled with isolated to scattered showers and
thunderstorms developing from time to time. A disturbance in the
Southwest Gulf of Mexico has a chance of developing into a
tropical system over the next few days. Due to uncertainty, the
current forecast does not yet incorporate less favorable winds
and waves that would accompany a tropical system potentially
developing this weekend into early next week.
