At 905 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles west of Mount Marcy, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Lake Placid, Keene, Jay In Essex County, Mount Marcy, Keene Valley, North Elba, North Hudson, Upper Jay, Underwood, Mount Van Hoevenberg, St. Huberts, Tahawus, and Mount Van Hoevenburg Recreation Area.
