...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CLINTON...
NORTHEASTERN ESSEX...WESTERN LAMOILLE...SOUTHERN GRAND ISLE...
CHITTENDEN AND SOUTHWESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM EDT...

At 638 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from St. Albans City to near South Hero to Peru.
Movement was southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Essex Junction, Plattsburgh International Airport, South Burlington,
Burlington International Airport, Burlington, Peru, Schuyler Falls,
Willsboro, Johnson Village, Cambridge, Winooski, Westford,
Colchester, Essex Junction Village, Fairfax, Williston, Georgia, St.
George, St. Albans Town, and Johnson.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 87 between mile markers 135 and 150.
 Interstate 89 between mile markers 75 and 113.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

If on or near Lake Champlain, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
northern New York...and northwestern Vermont.
