Weak disturbances moving through an upper ridge will bring isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms to the districts through this evening. A few showers and storms will linger overnight. A strong cold front will move east through the area on Thursday. This system will bring increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms through the day from west to east. Scattered showers and storms will persist into the evening. The storms will have the potential to be severe with strong gusty winds and large hail over much of the area, with a possible tornado east of Billings. Storms will also contain heavy rainfall. Expect northwest wind gusts into the 30s behind the cold front. High temperatures will range from the 80s west to the low to mid 90s east. Humidities will be mainly in the 30s. Friday will be drier, windy and cooler as a disturbance aloft crosses the region. The weekend will be drier with a warming trend.
