Tropics: A tropical cyclone is forecast to move generally northward across the Gulf of Mexico, then track inland across portions of Florida, Georgia, and possibly South Carolina later this week. Concern is increasing for impactful weather Thursday into Friday, with the potential for very strong winds, heavy rainfall, and tornadoes.
