Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
158 PM EDT Wed Sep 25 2024

The slow approach of a frontal boundary, combined with moist flow
off the Atlantic Ocean, will maintain considerable cloudiness and
periods of rain showers again today. Highs will range from the
lower 60s in the Poconos to middle 70s toward Pittsburgh.

A passing cold front may spawn showers and isolated storms across
portions of central and eastern Pennsylvania Thursday afternoon.
After that, a stalled front in southern PA will keep daily showers
in the forecast through the weekend. Thankfully, Tropical Cyclone
Helene is expected to remain well southwest of the Commonwealth
and no impacts will be felt in Pennsylvania.
